Priority Projects

Prospective donors often ask how they may designate their gifts to provide the greatest benefit to St. Joseph. Below are several priority projects for 2011 and 2012:

Telemetry Renovation Project - the second floor of St. Joseph Regional Health Center includes our cardiac monitoring, or telemetry, unit. This unit includes almost 80 patient rooms, and is where the majority of patients with heart-related symptoms are admitted in the hospital. While the technology for monitoring vital heart information is state-of-the-art on the unit, the rooms have not been renovated in many years.

Beginning in 2012, St. Joseph Regional Health Center will begin renovating the rooms to create the most comfortable healing environment for patients and their families. The cost per room is approximately $35,000. St. Joseph Foundation is presenting this unique opportunity to donors to sponsor a room on the unit. Donors will be recognized for their generosity with name plaques of the donors or those they wish to honor through their gift. Pledges for room sponsorships may be made for up to 3 years. If you would like to visit with someone from the foundation about this project, please email us at or call (979) 774-4087.
